ABOUT

Sports Programs for girls, generally do not have a lasting effect because it’s hard to recruit and retain girls interest to participate in programs. Signing up boys takes as little as hanging up a poster but persuading girls takes weeks of wooing and encouraging. It’s much more time intensive and staff intensive. Most programs do not offer a variety of activities that would appeal to a wider range of girls, including dance and yoga. “Girls only” programs get left behind due to lack of funding, lack of a female presence, lack of motivation and self-esteem building qualities and therefore there is a gender imbalance in community sports programs.

Xtreme Heat Sports is aggressively trying to bridge this gap.

Our program entitled “Celebrate Yourself – The Making of a VIP is a creative way to incorporate sports and life teaching. Partnering with Krisstylz Dance Company, the program will help young girls become

VICTORIOUS, INDEPENDENT, PEOPLE.

This program includes learning basketball fundamentals with the use of music and positive affirmations. It is staffed with trained professional women, coaches, and instructors. Our approach and strategy to reach young girls and maintain an above average interest level is through daily repetition of activities that will stimulate their minds, and bodies and inspire souls.

Why summer camp with us is important!

Current research has documented that many children are at risk academically and socially.  The numbers for children who have been identified as obese and/or diabetic continue to rise each year.
The average child is without adult supervision between the hours of 2:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. each day and on the weekends for even longer periods of time.

Xtreme Heat Sports and Krisstylz Dance Co
propose to offer “Celebrate Yourself –The Making of a VIP Girls’ Basketball & Dance Developmental program.

The program is designed to address academic, and social as well as the physical develop of the participants.

Participation will help to increase self-esteem, team-building, and communication skills; while reducing the probability their being exposure or influenced by other juvenile delinquent activities such as alcohol and drugs and bullying during their summer break.
